Legal Support & Protection
We provide a lifeline for those navigating the justice system, ensuring that rural women and girls are never alone in their pursuit of safety and fairness.
Legal Aid Services: Direct assistance for victims of human rights violations, with a specialized focus on GBV and land rights.
Monitoring & Reporting: We establish community-based mechanisms to track and report abuses, ensuring that violations like human rights-related land grabbing or gender-based violence do not go unnoticed.
Policy Advocacy & Awareness
We bridge the gap between national policy and grassroots reality, ensuring international standards for safety and governance are felt on the ground.
Policy Advocacy: Driving the inclusive implementation of national and international policies regarding GBV, anti-trafficking, cybersecurity, and quality education. RWASJ is driving gender-responsive policies against organized crime, human and drug trafficking, cybercrime, and digital gender-based violence.
Community Awareness: We spark vital conversations through radio programs, community dialogues, and workshops that demystify democracy and human rights.
Civic Leadership & Education
We are building a new generation of rural leaders by equipping women with the knowledge to participate in the democratic process.
Civic Education: Specialized training on electoral rights and political participation to ensure rural voices are heard at the ballot box.
Leadership Training: Mentoring women to take up leadership positions within their communities and local government.
Institutional Capacity Building
Justice requires the cooperation of those in power. We work directly with traditional and local leaders to foster a culture of inclusive governance.
Traditional & Local Authority Training: Workshops for chiefs and local officials on human rights, modern conflict resolution, and gender-inclusive decision-making.
